Maine & Delta-8 THC Legality

After the approval of Legislative Document 1159, hemp-derived delta-8 is no longer deemed a state-controlled illicit drug and is entirely lawful under state law, which now accords with federal law. In the state, the use, possession, sale, distribution, procurement, and creation of delta-8 goods are all legal and unrestricted. Similarly, marijuana and delta-8 produced from marijuana are lawful in Maine under state law.
